Shanghai: Yu Yuan Garden & Tower

After the trade show was over in Beijing, we hopped on a plane and flew to Shanghai, China. BHN's China distributor is in Shanghai and it was a good excuse to visit!

We went to the Yu Yuan Garden and Shanghai's Bazaar. Down below you can see some pictures of the bazaar, which is essentially just a whole bunch of tourist shops, and Justin haggling on some roller shoes for the kids.
These pictures below are part of a walkway that leads you into the garden. There were SO many people there. There were parts that we were literally shuffling to get anywhere.

Isn't the architecture beautiful?!
Grandpa Chapman made it in the picture!
This whole garden was breathtakingly beautiful. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
One cool bit of history is that this whole garden was built for one of the ministers to comfort him in his old age. Note to future posterity: Don't send me into a nursing home. Send me here :)

At the exit of the garden, there was this really cool amphitheater that Justin is standing in front of.
On another one of our night in Shanghai, we traveled to the very top of the 5th tallest building in the world, the Shanghai World Financial Center. This skyscraper could make the best of us get a little dizzy.
We had a backstage guided tour of the building and had the cutest tour guide. We were her very first tour!
They showed us a model of Shanghai and it looked super realistic.
I don't even remember how many floors we went up but there were a TON!
Unfortunately, the smog was pretty bad that night and we couldn't see a ton. The whole floor is made of plexiglass so occasionally when the wind would move the smog and it would clear up, we could see just how far up we were. It was crazy high!

On a side note: we went to Sams Club while we were there to get some snacks and it was so fun to see all the different fruit they have on that side of the world. I wasn't a huge fan of dragon fruit though.
