Justin had work off this year for Columbus Day and so we made it a long weekend and headed up to Grandma & Grandpa Chapman's cabin up in Prescott after the last session of our church's General Conference.
We invited our friends Eduardo & Gladyss and their kiddos to come with us since they had never had a real cabin experience before. Before the kids went to bed, we had to play some Twister with the cabins multi-colored carpet squares. It's a tradition!
That night was pretty horrible with Mason not sleeping, due to being in the same room with us, and screaming because he was overly- tired. And their little girl, Mila, had a rough time as well so we only stayed one night there. :( We tried! The next day we went on a little hike to the lake and played at a nearby park.
Daddy is way more fun pushing the kiddos on the swings than I am!
Even though the trip was short lived, it was still fun to get up to the piney woods for some fresh air!
This doesn't have to do with our trip but I just wanted to post about how much fun Ellie and I had one day playing with some flour.
Can you tell she had fun?!
She started out playing so nice and neatly, carefully transferring flour from bowl to bowl. Then she realized how much fun it was to dump it everywhere and play in it! I love moments like this when kids are getting to be kids and get filthy in the process!
